Through ThornCode Vessel, I explore how technology remembers touch. Born from the System of Touch – a meditation on
intimacy between skin and synthetic surfaces – touch becomes protocol, the surface a witness and keeper of memory. I wanted to
give shape to the dialogue between digital precision and human imperfection something that still holds a pulse. This wearable relic
carries traces of the body and the echoes of technological evolution. Making it is a ritual, a reconciliation of the organic and the
synthetic, where memory takes form, lingers, and resonates, folding time, touch, and matter into a singular experience.
Work technical description
The shell was digitally modeled and 3D-printed in four segments, reinforced with epoxy resin. Each surface was hand-sanded,
painted, lacquered, and polished to achieve an organic feel. The interior bag, made from natural cowhide and python leather, was
hand-stitched and attached with metal screws. The halves connect via magnets and mixed polymer–metal pins. A stainless-steel
chain and subtle patina complete the piece, merging digital fabrication with tactile, handcrafted precision.
