Description

The role of an actor or character
is like an empty body without a soul, without a person like a ghost. Every performance in front of the camera, amidst the light, colors, even the clothes have to wait for someone to pick them up and put them on, make up their faces to be ready for the scene. In the imaginary world, the actor must let himself be empty, ready to accept changes in every role, a serious face, a focused mind, a feeling that sinks deep into the character in that imaginary world.

Sunthorn is one of the most active actors in Thailand. He has starred in Akaoni (1997-2003) in Japan and The Revolutionist 1932 in Europe and the United States (1999-2000).

As a film actor,
he has starred in The Oceanic Silk Road (Beijing), Deliver Us from Evil (Seoul) and EXpatZ (Mexico),
for which he was nominated for Best Supporting Actor.
In 2001, he won the Critics’ Choice Best Actor award.

In his youth, Sunthorn Meesri was interested in abstract art and performance art, creating many works before turning to acting as a full-time actor.
