My primary medium is Marly limestone, a material intrinsically connected to Thai art and medicine. Rich in calcium carbonate, this limestone serves as a poignant metaphor for the fragility of life and the delicate balance that sustains it. I frequently incorporate other natural elements such as herbs, ashes from burned charcoal, and alum-formed crystals. The charcoal ashes symbolize transformation through fire, while the crystals evoke notions of purity and clarity.
Through my sculptures and installations, I aim to alter perceptions of death, urging viewers to perceive it not as a terminus but as a commencement. My work radiates a sense of tranquility, inviting contemplation on the cyclical nature of existence.
My art extends an invitation to reflect upon this intricate equilibrium of life and the wisdom that can be gleaned from those who have preceded us in death. It is my aspiration that viewers depart with a rejuvenated perspective on the beauty inherent in death and the serenity that such an understanding can confer.
