My artistic practice revolves around the exploration of identity, urbanization, and the intersection of tradition and contemporary expression through the medium of printmaking. As a printmaking artist, I am deeply engaged in the process of deconstructing conventional forms of visual language to interrogate and challenge the cultural, social, and psychological layers embedded in everyday life.
Through my work, I seek to reflect on the relationship between the individual and the environment, especially within the context of rapidly changing urban landscapes. My pieces often evoke themes of place, memory, and self-reflection, blending personal experiences with broader societal issues. Whether through bold prints or subtle interventions, I aim to expose the complexities of human existence in urban spaces—where identities are constantly shifting and being redefined.
I am particularly interested in the tension between the tangible and the intangible—how emotions, stories, and histories are preserved or erased through visual representation. My use of printmaking as a primary medium allows me to create layered, textured works that speak to both the permanence and impermanence of human identity. The process of printmaking itself, with its repetitive nature and transformative potential, serves as a metaphor for how we continuously negotiate and reconstruct our understanding of self in relation to the world around us.
A recurring element in my work is the exploration of “collectibles” or objects that accumulate meaning over time. These objects—often everyday items—become symbols of memory, culture, and personal history.
