Torlarp Larpjaroensook (b.1977) was raised in a houseboat in Ayutthaya and later graduated with a Bachelor in painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Chiang-Mai University. As an artist whose works involve multiple mediums, Torlarp focuses his interest in creating interactions between art and the audience by using ready-made objects for his sculptures and installations in a form of moving architecture. His works act as connectors linking the audience’s feeling to materials found in everyday life.
Torlarp has had several solo and group exhibitions in many difference countries including Japan, Singapore, Taiwan and South Korean. Recent exhibitions include “ART FOR AIR 2” (2023) Mai, Thailand; “Out of this World” (2022), MOCA Museum of Contemporary Art, Bangkok, Thailand; “BOBA project”( 2021), Tainan, Taiwan; “Dispersion and Convergence: The 3rd Global Overseas Chinese Artist Exhibition” (2020), He Xiangning Art Museum, Shenzhen, Guangdong, China; “Art Kaohsiung”( 2019), Kaohsiung, Taiwan; “City Flip-Flop” (2019), Taiwan Contemporary Culture Lab (C-LAB), Taipei, Taiwan ; “Metaphorical Landscapes“ ( 2018), Baan Tuek Art Center, Chiang Mai, Thailand; “Bangkok Art Biennale” (2018), Bangkok, Thailand. His works have been collected by international museums like the Singapore Art Museum and MAIIAM Contemporary Art Museum. In 2008 Torlarp founded founder Gallery Seescape in Chiang.
