Parangbune Meewasana or Mtt.

Mtt. is an artist based in Bangkok, Thailand. She graduated with a degree in Landscape Architecture from Chulalongkorn University in 2018. Ever since she was little, Mtt. has made various forms of arts a part of her daily life: sketching, painting, music, and performance.

Alongside her professional career as a landscape architect and designer, Mtt. shares her artistic journey both on social media and through exhibitions. Her artistic practice started when a random question popped up: “What wakes me up every day?” Hence, under the theme “The Reason I Wake Up Today,” Mtt. explores what inspires her each day by capturing impressive moments and feelings that leave imprints in her mind.

Mtt.’s art ranges from minimal illustrations to vibrant paintings, with each piece expressing her thoughts and emotions. She often uses an uncolored image of a little girl to represent herself. Placing the little girl against an abstract or surreal background, she implies the theme of waking up in an unidentifiable space. She blends elements from her architectural background with her passion for visual and performing arts. Another important element in Mtt.’s practice is experimentation with new techniques and tools such as mixing oil pastels, color pencils, and acrylic paint, her favorite medium.

Through her art, Mtt. aims to connect with others and inspire them to find beauty in everyday moments. Her dedication to exploring different artistic mediums and themes reflects her belief that art is a powerful means of personal and communal expression.
