กนกอร ชากลาง สำเร็จการศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรีจากคณะศิลปกรรมศาสตร์ สาขาจิตรกรรม มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏสวนสุนันทา ในปี พ.ศ. 2566 หลังจากจบการศึกษา เขาได้เริ่มต้นบทบาทอาชีพในฐานะครูสอนศิลปะ (สอนพิเศษ) พร้อมกับการสร้างสรรค์ผลงานศิลปะอย่างต่อเนื่อง กนกอรได้มีโอกาสร่วมแสดงผลงานในนิทรรศการศิลปะหลากหลายโครงการ อาทิ

แนวคิดและผลงาน:

กนกอร ชากลาง สร้างสรรค์ผลงานศิลปะโดยมีตัวละครหลักชื่อว่า “โรยา” (Roya) ซึ่งสะท้อนถึงความหลงใหลในจินตนาการและความฝันของผู้สร้าง “โรยา” เป็นตัวแทนของการตัดสินใจและการกระทำในโลกแห่งความฝัน ซึ่งแตกต่างจากชีวิตจริงที่ถูกจำกัดด้วยกฎเกณฑ์มากมาย ในความฝัน โรยาสามารถใช้ชีวิตอย่างอิสระ ท่องไปในโลกแฟนตาซีที่ไร้ขอบเขต ทุกค่ำคืนของโรยาเต็มไปด้วยเรื่องราวหลากอารมณ์ ทั้งความตื่นเต้น ความอบอุ่นชวนฝัน หรือแม้กระทั่งความขนลุกเล็กน้อย ซึ่งทั้งหมดเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของความสุขเล็ก ๆ ที่เติมเต็มชีวิตจริง

เทคนิคและเอกลักษณ์:

ผลงานของกนกอรมีความโดดเด่นในเทคนิค Impasto ที่ผสมผสานกับศิลปะแบบ สื่อผสม (Mixed Media) ทำให้ตัวละคร “โรยา” มีเอกลักษณ์เฉพาะตัวในรูปแบบการ์ตูนเด็กผู้หญิงที่ดูน่ารัก สดใส โดดเด่นด้วยทรงผมสีฟ้าและดอกไม้ที่มีพื้นผิวและความนูนเป็นเอกลักษณ์ ผลงานของเขาสามารถสะท้อนอารมณ์ ความฝัน และการปลดปล่อยความคิดสร้างสรรค์ได้อย่างลึกซึ้ง

Kanokon Chaklang

Born: 2000

Residence and Workplace: Bangkok, Thailand

Kanokon Chaklang graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, in 2023. After graduation, she began her career as an art instructor (tutor) while continuing to create her own artworks. Her dedication to art has led her to participate in numerous exhibitions, including:

Artistic Concept and Works:

Kanokon Chaklang’s artworks center around her original character, “Roya”, which embodies her passion for imagination and dreams. Roya represents the artist’s decisions and actions in the dream world, a realm free from the restrictions of reality. Unlike real life, where rules and norms often confine expression, Roya lives freely in a limitless fantasy world. Each night, Roya embarks on adventures filled with excitement, warmth, or even moments of eerie mystery—providing small yet profound joys that complement real life. Roya, therefore, becomes a reflection of the artist’s hidden self, living a life vastly different from her own.

Techniques and Style:

Kanokon’s works are characterized by the use of Impasto techniques, blended with mixed media art. This approach gives Roya a distinctive appearance as a charming and vibrant cartoon-like girl with bright blue hair and floral accessories. The textured surfaces and raised elements in her works create a unique and captivating visual impact, reflecting emotions, dreams, and boundless creativity.
