Born in 1966 in Singapore, Jason Lim is an acclaimed artist whose work centers around the fundamental elements of nature: earth, water, air, fire, and space. His artistic endeavors aim to unveil the intricate relationships between nature and the world we inhabit. Lim explores the convergence of the body, matter, and spirit through many mediums such as ceramics, sculpture, photography, film, performance art and printmaking. His creative process involves meditative practices and repetitive actions, producing thought-provoking and visually captivating works. The repetition establishes a sense of continuity and rhythm which allows him to be more fluid in his techniques and in turn express himself more intuitively.
